Join GoldFire Studios to be a part of bleeding-edge online game development.We are looking for self-motivated engineers to work in a tight-nit team developing unique gameplay experiences for the web. We aren't making your average social games, we are making what we like to call "truly" social games. We are also targeting the more hardcore audience of gamers rather than your average Farmville player.
We love to use cutting-edge technologies to make our games as interactive as possible, which is why we are currently developing mainly with Javascript, HTML5, Node.js, and MongoDB. We do still do work on some of our older games with PHP and MySQL as well. The work you do here will matter, which means we won't just tell you what do you, you will have significant impact on the finished products.

Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing cool game features
- Deliver high quality features on a regular basis
- Participating in regular game tests before releases
- Participating in development of new game ideas and implimentations
- Staying up-to-date with relevant technologies and proactively suggesting architecture changes and new coding practices
Experience:
- A passion for playing and making video games
- Ability to communicate design decisions, trade-offs, code walk-throughs, bugs, thoroughly, clearly, and concisely
- Ability to adapt, take critical feedback, and execute quickly
- Understanding of algorithmic complexity and web-scale infrastructure
- Understanding of game balance, including statistics, virtual goods, economics and user motivations
- Experience working in a fast and agile environment
- Experience working with multiple teams and digest requirement and translate requirement into working product; desire to work with other teams to understand marketing / product requirements
Skills:
- Comfortable with Javascript and at least 1 other language
- Comfortable with MVC
- Comfortable with database model, query, performance analysis, and security
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
