New GoldFire Offices Around this time last year, GoldFire Studios was still just me. As part of an effort to expand the company, GoldFire Studios moved into its first dedicated office in downtown Oklahoma City. It was a great little starter office, and it really helped to focus and expand the team's creativity being in a central location. Well, GoldFire has been growing, and so over the last few months we've been searching for a larger and more appropriate office for our next year of growth. We are now fully... Read More [] |

For example, I wrote and open-sourced a robust audio library, howler.js just a few months back, which has dramatically improved our and other's use of audio in the browser. Well, the current challenge has to do with UI within the game. In this case,... Read More [] |

OKC.js: HTML5 Game Development Today, Luke and I had the pleasure of presenting to a packed house of JavaScript enthusiasts (like ourselves) at the monthly JavaScript user-group meeting in downtown OKC, dubbed OKC.js. In addition to showing off what we have been working on with CasinoRPG and howler.js, we talked about general web-based game development and the challenges therein. We've uploaded our slide deck and hope to have a video recording of the talk posted soon (I'll update this post when the video is up on... Read More [] |
